I took a trip out to Emerald Bay recently, I don't care how many times you seen it, she's gorgeous. Eagle Falls, as seen above, drops out of Desolation Wilderness, several times, and into Lake Tahoe via Emerald Bay. I need to figure out how to wake up out of bed early so I can go get this same shot at sunrise...mmmh, warmth. If I go to bed now...

Lower Truckee Falls off the Hawley Grade
This is the lower fall of the Hawley grade trail. Not nearly as big as the one that is about a mile, mile and a half up the same trail but very nice still. The trail will bring you to the opposite side from which this was shot. Bella, my dog, Kyle Schwartz and myself made the effort to get to the other side by crossing the rapids over a wet and sketchy tree that had fallen across the river. Kyle fell in at the end knee deep, he's lucky though, cause if he had fallen off the tree, he'd be gone now and this would be sad. This photo is the same one that is in my location album on Facebook, so some of you have seen it, but I wanted you to see it better. Click on the photo for a bigger size.

Waterfall Wednesday
This waterfall is located along the Hawley Grade trail which can be found at the end of South Upper Truckee in South Lake Tahoe. When you start hiking the trail, you will notice that a smaller trail breaks off to the left, follow that along the river. There are two waterfalls along this trail, this being the second and larger of the two.
