Watch this movie on Paparazzi legend Ron Gallela, it can be found on Netflix streaming. Here's the trailer:
I drove down to Mammoth from Tahoe for the West Coast Invitational. Well, not actually for the WCI, but rather to shoot lifestyle photos of Niko Cioffi and Cameron Pierce to wrap things up for the season. I had the pleasure, during a dinner, to be introduced to Jamie Lynn, a personal hero of mine. On the night of the WCI rail Jam, Jamie Lynn painted a mural live in the center of the rail jam while the riders shredded. It was awesome. The mural is to be part of an art park in Mammoth off the Forest trail that will be filled with park features and art. Jeff Anderson has one now and soon Jamie will too. It's an awesome idea. Here's a photo I took of Jamie painting the mural, an unexpected gem.
Signed, grateful snowboarder
...not much to say about my trip to Mammoth other than I got to see a few friends, namely Peter Morning, Aaron Dodds & Pat Bridges, and hang with some of the crew I hadn't seen all year. Here's a couple photos from the hour we were on the hill and the 8 hours at the bar.

A little confused here. I was looking through Freestyle Photographic Supplies online catalog when I came across a Gretchen Bleiler signature Holga. I had no idea she was into photography......whatever, if you are a Gretchen Bleiler fan and your into analog photography, pick yourself up a signature model but don't buy the crap about the environment. The camera's made of plastic with an emulsion spread on a strip of plastic, and the chemistry involved in analog photography, forget about it. I do have to admit though, I'm more than a little bit jealous. Get yours HERE.
This Wednesday, Trasworld Snowboarding has another selection of fine photos for your desktop. Terren Gomez and myself, both South Lake locals, have a shot in there. Check 'em out HERE.
Rusty Ockenden sends it over this large feature at Mammoth Mtn.
After thoughts: Rusty Ockenden is one of the raddest snow dudes I have met to date. I wish I would have gotten more time to simply hang with the dude. He's recently made the move to Rome Snowboards and I am happy that he will be in good hands over there.
I cruised through Transworld Snowboarding's website today and noticed I had a photo in their Wallpaper Wednesday section. Pete Columbo and crew over at Sun Valley in Idaho constructed this behemoth. The riders were definitely nervous about this one and youngblood Austen Sweetin guinea pig'd it solo style and walked away with this frontside 3.

After 3 weeks in grey sky Whistler, it was refreshing to return to my home mountain, Sierra-at-Tahoe. Blue skies and sun, California style. Just want to give a shout out to the Doug and the park crew who did a fantastic job of shaping and maintaing our jump line. A special thank you also goes out Brooke Summers. She's done a lot for Sierra since she's been there and we're the happy recipients of her hard work and devotion, so thank you.
